With the generosity of our sponsors, all athletes are decked out in NBA-like apparel - and each year, we get to go away on 2 to 3 basketball weekend trips, where we play other Special Olympic Basketball teams; we’ve been to Greymouth (twice), Rangiora, Wellington, Christchurch, Hamilton and more. Teams we are likely to meet again at the nationals every four years.

In 2024 we are headed to Greymouth (great hosts) and Palmerston North, in 2025 we are in the early stages of planning our own weekend T2 competition weekend where we invite all South Island and Lower North Island clubs to attend and compete.  Plus we will be heading to Christchurch again for the NZ nationals to see if we can improve upon a bronze at the last nationals
